Consultation and Engagement Options 2017-05-20T21:46:56+00:00

We offer a number of consultation and engagement options to fit the needs of our prospective and current clients.  We offer free initial consultations, phone-based short consultations, in-person legal consultation and flat-fee engagements.  Each is described below.

Option 1.  Free Initial Consultation.

We offer free initial consultation (in selected cases) which allows our prospective clients to contact us and understand what legal services and assistance we can provide to them.   The free initial consultation is an opportunity for our prospective clients to learn about their immigration options and it also allows them to learn about our practices and services, the procedure of retaining our services and the estimated costs of our representation.

By eliminating all fees for our free initial consultation, we hope to encourage potential clients to contact us without having to worry about incurring any charges.

During the free initial consultation we will provide you with a general overview of your immigration alternatives.  However,  attorney ethical rules do not allow us to provide you with specific legal advice tailored to your case.  If you wish to have specific questions answered or you need representation in a specific matter, please see the other consultation and engagement options below.

Option 2.  Paid Phone Consultation.

This option is most applicable to clients who need specific immigration questions answered on a short notice.   We have available 20-, 40- and 60-minute phone consultation sessions.  The cost is as follows:

  • 20-minute paid legal phone consultation (regular or priority) – starting at $69.00;
  • 40-minute paid legal phone consultation (regular or priority) – starting at $129.00; and
  • 60-minute paid legal phone consultation (regular or priority) – starting at $179.00.

You can request and pay for your phone consultation securely online.  We accept payment via all major credit cards and online check payments.  If necessary, we are also happy to make other billing arrangements.  Although we will attempt to schedule a phone consultation at the earliest available time and honor your request for a specific day and time, please note that we cannot guarantee a specific time slot.

Option 3.  In-person Legal Consultation.

We provide in-person legal consultation with one of our immigration attorneys.   This kind of consultation is most suitable for clients who seek specific legal advice, answers to legal questions or review of documents.   The consultation takes place at our offices unless a different location is specifically requested by the client.   We are conveniently located in downtown Washington, DC and our office is easily accessible by Metro.  The cost of the in-person legal consultation is as follows:

  • 60-minute legal in-person consultation – starting at $239.00, creditable towards future flat fee service engagement.

The in-person consultation fee is fully creditable towards the amount of any flat fee service engagement of our firm where such engagement is initiated within 45 calendar days of the date of the in-person legal consultation.  Contact us for details or book online an in-person legal consultation.

Option 4.  Flat Fee Case-Specific Engagements.

Most of our clients engage us on a flat-fee basis depending on the type of petition or service they require.  There is no one-size-fits-all solution in the world of immigration law and we approach each case with individual attention.  We have discovered from our clients and from past experience that that having a flat-fee billing system allows our individual and corporate clients to better plan their financial resources and at the same time allows us to spend more time working individually with clients to better understand each case without having to count time spent on a matter and without running into high legal bills.

A sample of the services for which we charge a flat-fee are H-1B petitions, L-1 petitions, green card applications,  responses to requests for evidence (“RFE”), appeals to denials of petitions or benefits, consular and visa applications, naturalization applications, and many others.

We would be happy to give you quote based on your case – please contact us for a quote or for additional information.
