Cap-subject H-1B Filing Window Open

The filing window for Fiscal Year 2010 (starting October 1, 2009) cap-subject H-1B petitions opened today.  All of the cap-subject H-1B filings filed by our firm were successfully delivered at their respective USCIS service centers.  Our first impression was that FedEx's service was very reliable and all H-1B filings were delivered early in the morning [...]

Foreign Citizen: Can I Donate Money to a Political Campaign?

In the height of the political season, we have been asked numerous times by foreign citizens, "Can I contribute money to a political candidate's campaign?" The short answer, is 'Yes, you can, but only if you are a legal permanent resident (green card holder).' This comes from the Federal Election Campaign Act and the definition of "foreign person" which excludes green card holders.
