Visa Bulletin Predictions – How Long Do I Have to Wait?

The Visa Bulletin lists the availability of immigrant visa numbers during the month of publication. Essentially, it shows the backlogs (or the waiting periods) in each immigrant visa category for a given month. By looking at each month's Visa Bulletin, applicants for immigrant visas can see if they are eligible to complete their immigrant visa process.

Our office receives many inquiries, on a daily basis, asking us to forecast the movement of the priority dates in a specific category. As a result, we created the Visa Bulletin Forecast tool and we are releasing it to the immigrant community, free of charge. The Visa Bulletin Forecast tool allows each immigrant visa applicant to enter his or her preference category, country of chargeability and priority date and obtain an estimate of the wait times before such priority date would become current and the applicant would be eligible to either complete the consular processing (through the National Visa Center, or NVC) or the adjustment of status process (Form I-485).

The Visa Bulletin Forecast tool uses a proprietary algorithm to calculate general estimates of the wait times in a specific category based on historic data. The tool is not intended to serve as legal advice and should be used as a general guideline of the timing. By using the Visa Bulletin Forecast tool, you agree that no attorney-client relationship is established and you do not become a client of the Capitol Immigration Law Group PLLC solely by using the tool.

Client Testimonials

Testimonial M.H., Bangladesh (April 30, 2013). "“I am very happy that my long journey towards the green card finally ends here. You have always been courteous, friendly and professional. You always responded to my emails in a timely manner. Anytime I left you a voice mail, you called me right back. There has never been a lack of communication which I really appreciate. You also made me comfortable asking you any questions throughout the process. Any time I sent you something, you turned in around as quickly as possible. I could not have asked for anything more than the quality of service that you and your team provided. My wife and I would like to say thanks to you and your team members one more time. During my past 12 years in the U.S., I took help from numerous immigration attorneys and I can say without any hesitation that you and your team have been the best. If I ever come across someone seeking for immigration counsel, I will certainly refer to you. Thank you again."
